Digital health now and in the future – Co-creation of meaningful digital health solutions and related research

Abstract of talk

Our health systems have serious problems all over the world. It is well known, that the number of elderly people will triple by 2050. This is happening at the same time when people are suffering more from chronical and infectious diseases. It is already a reality in our societies that healthcare organizations need to put much effort to optimize patient care with the newest technologies and data. However, by doing so, we are at risk of losing the user-centricity for patient care.

One solution to improve the situation is to co-create meaningful digital health innovations and to make research that is directly supporting the solution identification, co-creation, and validation. In this lecture, Professor Pikkarainen is presenting results of her scientific work that is specifically targeted towards the research related to data-intensive digital health and preventive & personalized healthcare.
