Major interest at Vitalis conference for simulations in ambulances

Wednesday, May 3, 2017

On April 25 to 27, Prehospital ICT Arena participated in Vitalis, the e-health conference and exhibition that was held at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Center. Visitors were given the opportunity to watch a demonstration and simulation of IT support in ambulances.

During the three days of the Vitalis conference, those interested could visit the Prehospital ICT Arena’s booth to speak with representatives of the PrehospIT project, and to watch a demonstration of the project’s results in ambulances. The demonstration took place through a simulation, supported by equipment and personnel from Skaraborg Hospital.  The other participants in the demonstration comprised representatives from the University of Skövde and University of Borås. The booth also featured other companies related to Prehospital ICT Arena’s operations.

Bengt Arne Sjöqvist, program coordinator of PICTA and project manager of PrehospIT, commented on the outcome of the Vitalis conference:

We managed to effectively convey our three messages: a presentation of the PrehospIT project, the Prehospital ICT Arena and the potential of simulation as a powerful tool for assessment.”

Many thanks to Ambulansen/Sahlgrenska University Hospital for providing the ambulances!
